I worked with Hearts FC to capture new headshots for their women’s team to use for publicity.
Hearts FC wanted high-quality headshots of their women’s team to help improve their image and use them for publicity purposes.
Hearts Women’s team already had a bank of images of their members but it lacked consistency and quality. They wanted to achieve a new batch of headshots that had improved quality and were more consistent from a styling perspective. One of the main uses of the headshots is to help promote the team across the Hearts and the Scottish Women’s Premier League website.
We had limited time to capture the headshots due to needing to get them together in one place before training. We also had limited space since they wanted headshots in front of the HMFC logo which was in a narrow corridor. To overcome this, I used a simple two-light set up which is both flattering and helped to separate the players from the background.
Hearts now has a really good bank of high-quality headshots that they can confidently use for promotional purposes. This helps to improve the overall image of the club as well as improving the visibility of their sponsors. Due to the simple setup, we can easily replicate the style if we ever need to take images of new players.
