As part of my Monthly Social service, The Retro and I get together for a morning every month to produce a full month’s worth of content in one go.
Like most businesses, The Retro values fresh content on a regular basis. They want to keep their social channels engaging and up-to-date for the current day. Once a month, they get a content delivery that keeps them going.
The Retro is a subscription box business, delivering either records, vintage video games, or old-school cassettes. Peter, the owner, approached me in 2020 with a view to producing content on a regular basis through my Monthly Social plan. He had always struggled to post high-quality content on a consistent basis and often found himself neglecting his social channels.
Every month, Peter works with his social media manager to produce a shot list based on his business needs and current events. This goes to our project management platform and we schedule a time to make a shoot happen. What we aim to do with every shoot is to introduce the customer to different aspects of the business, from behind-the-scenes style content to unboxing to meet the team.
The Retro’s social channels and website have never looked better. Peter is never wondering what to post to Instagram now that he has a big bank of images he can choose from. Each image we’ve created has a different talking point such as celebrating an artist’s birthday or promoting certain offers.
